The public announcement of the third edition of the Modern Gospel Music Awards, with applications now open to the general public, has gospel music artists in Ghana and elsewhere thrilled. Nominations will be accepted beginning on April 1, 2023 and will close on May 1, 2023 with 32 categories being recognized.
This means that anyone with the appropriate music that suits the defined categories can submit a nomination for consideration in the gospel music business on a local and global level. The Modern Gospel Music Awards is an honor program that showcases, acknowledges, and promotes the contributions and accomplishments of Gospel Music Artists who have devoted their work to advancing Christian ideals both domestically and internationally.
The public is allowed to submit nominations for this year’s categories, and a new category called “Cross-Breed” has been introduced. This new group is ideal for tracks that, while not necessarily religious music, have lyrics that are extremely motivating and inspirational without the slightest hint of profanity or foul language.
The Modern Gospel Music Awards, which held their first ceremony in 2021, has had a significant impact on the development and commemoration of gospel music artists in Ghana and around the world. Other names that have passed through the event are Kofi Adoma Nwanwani (CEO OF KOFI TV) & Mrs. Starcy Amoateng (Host of Restoration Tv Show).
