Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Pat Thomas, Steve Bedi, Miatta Fahnbulleh and other renowned musicians will be performing at the Kingdom Gardens in Ashyie-Regimanuel Kantamanto Estate, Accra on Sunday, April 30. The event, titled “Jazz At The Park”, is part of the 2023 International Jazz Day celebrations. International Jazz Day, which is held annually on April 30, is a global celebration of jazz music aimed at raising awareness on the role of jazz as an educational tool and as a force for creativity, dialogue, and intercultural exchange.
The concert is being organised by the Dream Child Foundation in collaboration with Virtual Hub, with support from MUSIGA and UNESCO. The event aims to thrill jazz lovers in Accra with refreshing compositions from all the musicians scheduled to perform. Additionally, the event will officially introduce Virtual Hub’s state-of-the-art musical equipment for outdoor events, such as musical concerts and church crusades.
The musicians will perform a blend of standard jazz and modern sounds that incorporate African vibes, highlife, and afrobeat, among others. The event, which will run from 8 pm till late in the night, is expected to attract a large number of highlife music lovers.
Gyedu Blay Ambolley is renowned for his live musical performances that have won the hearts of many music lovers in Ghana and beyond. He will treat music fans to an unforgettable live musical performance, featuring some of his popular tunes such as ‘Simigwa Do’, ‘Adwoa Amissah’, ‘Akoko Ba’, among others.
