MAKROONEEY

With seductive, Afro-soul vocals and atmospheric electronic production, Nigerian, Makrooneey has always worked between bringing the party and exploring the dark lovely spaces that exist within all of us.

His most recent release, “Lagbaja,” is his most precise output yet, pairing a carefully pulsing beat with hammered afro-beat melodies that thoughtfully eliminate one’s understanding of loving another. He stressed in the “Lagbaja” songs saying he is giving up on all activities in the world to have quality time for his home as in his wife.
