CJ CHAMPION
Agaba Ezra also known by the stage name CJ Champion is a songwriter, composer, singer, and rapper. CJ Champion first picked up music at the age of thirteen after her late sister brought on his musical epiphany.
He quickly reached a level of skill eluding most people after a lifetime and began writing his own songs in 2017. Performing at Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara made him gain a fond reputation as an upstart with brazen talent.
Soulful voice and rap are usually the cornerstones of his songs, but the range of influences from hip-hop, afrobeat, and soul make for an eclectic style. CJ Champion released his first single Rege Rege catapulted him to the spotlight in Uganda.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
The fourth born out of five wonderful siblings, CJ Champion officially known as Agaba Ezra hail from a town called Bugongi Sheema in the Western part of Uganda. CJ Champion was born to Dr. Nuwagaba Ephraim and Mrs. Nuwagaba Kellen.
He had his basic school at Bugongi Central School in the Western part of Uganda. He later continued his ordinary level at St Charles Lwanga School in Uganda, later completed his advance level at Crown High School.
He never ended it up there since education his is prime, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism from the Makerere University. Being an academia he also holds certificates in Alternative Leadership from Academy and another certificate in intellectual property from WIPO academy.
MUSIC CAREER
CJ Champion claims he discovered his talent to sing at age thirteen in basic school. At that time his late elder sister was then his music teacher in basic school. The late sister helped him nurtured his talent and also serve as a mentor for him.
In 2017 he got into professional music and this was as a result of deriving inspiration from the soul singer His Excellency Bobi Wine of Uganda. With his music career, he has achieved a lot from his craft.
He has travelled to perform in many countries in the world and has created a great network of prominent people around him and also feds his family with his craft.
